Before Thanksgiving break, we learned about the three main parts of a paragraph: main idea (also known as a topic sentences), 3 details, and a wrap-up sentence. We practice writing paragraphs with different graphic organizers. Finally, we put our skills to the test. Each student chose an animal he or she did not know much about. After researching that animal in books from our very own classroom library, we wrote paragraphs and created a presentation with pictures to share with our peers. Check out our presentation below!
